Ivonne Paulus



Ivonne Paulus joined Steinmetz, Haring, Gurman & Co. in 2015, strengthening the firm’s international business practice.


She brings transactional and negotiating experience from her previous positions as German attorney at Fredricks & von der Horst in Los Angeles and as Deputy Head of the Legal Department at a Vienna-based multinational, where her responsibilities extended to contracts, labor law, merger & acquisition (M&A) work and other aspects of corporate practice.


Ivonne has worked in four European capitals in three languages during her internship years. Her affiliations in Paris and Berlin were both at law firms with a focus on international business law and print media respectively.


Her post in Edinburgh was with the Consulate General of Germany, where she worked in consular law.  Her internship in Brussels was at the delegate office of the State of North-Rhine Westphalia to the EU, where her tasks included reports, public relations and information research from committee meetings of the European Parliament.


Ivonne is a native of Cologne, Germany, and she is completing her PhD studies at the University of Vienna, Austria.


She is fluent in English, French and German, is learning Hebrew and holds a diploma in Latin and ancient Greek.
